Bequests

Bequests

Our Legacy Giving Program helps you learn how to take care of yourself, your family, and your community through a bequest. Anyone can leave a legacy and at any level.

You can include language in your will or living trust that designates a specific amount, percentage, or all or a portion of what is left after you’ve taken care of your family. You can even simply add a “codicil” to your current will, which is an amendment that doesn’t require redoing your whole will.

We’ll help guide you.

Step 1: Making a gift through your will or living trust is as easy as asking your attorney to include wording similar to this:

“After fulfilling all other provisions, I hereby give and bequeath to the Park County Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (Federal Tax ID:  #20-5581763) incorporated under the laws of Montana and located in Livingston, Montana, ___% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate [or, if you wish to designate a specific amount $____]. Funds gifted through this bequest are designated for [PCCF’s Service to the Community] or [name(s) of your favorite areas of interest].

Step 2:
Please tell us about your gift. We would love the opportunity to thank you for your generosity and welcome you into the Legacy Giving Program.

We can assist by setting up a fund to support a particular organization or cause. The Park County Community Foundation receives your donation, handles tax receipts, and processes payments to disburse the funds back into the community.
