How We Help

We empower communities.

Helping to ensure livability and our rural way of life remain for all.

We help Park County’s nonprofit organizations by raising funds, providing grants, and empowering them to help solve local challenges in our key impact areas. Nonprofits have an added importance in communities like ours, often addressing challenges that in a more populated state might be handled by government. As our county continues to face rapid growth, the demands on our nonprofit community are only going to increase.

We help Park County thrive by empowering communities through our key programs.

We Will is a citizen-informed initiative to help residents, organizations, and governmental entities better impact our shared future — showing us where our challenges are most acute, where we disagree, and more importantly, where we agree.

Give A Hoot is a monthlong Community Giving Challenge that inspires the entire community to give to their favorite local nonprofits. We believe our nonprofits are uplifted when we inspire a culture of generosity.

Since 2019, the Give A Hoot campaign has raised more than $10.2 million from 20,552 donations in support of over 100 participating nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Action is our professional development program for the staff and board members of Park County’s nonprofits. It’s where nonprofit leaders, staff, and volunteers come to learn together, support each other, and create the strong, effective nonprofit sector we deserve.

When we invest in improving the excellence of Park County’s nonprofits, we ensure local nonprofits maximize their ability to help Park County thrive and that our grants and donors’ investments are well-placed.

At the community foundation, we have a unique ability to respond to Emerging Issues and convene people to address them. From disaster response, housing affordability, and childcare shortages, to arts/culture, and incubating emerging nonprofits, it’s our mission to selectively step in and help drive local and sustainable solutions.
